-- Sharingan is the blood inheritance limit of the Uchiha Clan. The Uchiha are said to be descendants of the Hyuuga, with the Byakugan changing into the Sharingan over time. This doujutsu (eye skill) gives one the ability to read Genjutsu, Taijutsu and Ninjutsu and then defeat it. As such, the clan member can view a technique being performed and almost instantly memorize the movements required to be able to complete it, including the needed chakra moldings and seals used. However the clan member cannot copy techniques that are unique to another bloodline and the clan member must have a body capable of meeting the chakra and physical requirements to do the jutsu. This rarely stops the clan member though, as such stressful situations often push their limits farther and allow them to harness their full potential.

The Uchiha clan member is not granted the Sharingan at birth; it is only activated later in life, typically during a time of emotional stress in the heat of battle. The Sharingan itself can be transferred to another non-Uchiha by a medical ninja, because their bodies were not born to carry the Sharingan, the eye is always activated and it burns their chakra when used. To lessen the impact of the Sharingan on their body, they normally keep the eye hidden and out of use. A non-Uchiha, is able to advance the Sharingan from two tomoe to three tomoe after gaining the eye.

The Sharingan itself contains three tomoe (comma). A higher mastery of the Sharingan can be seen in the creation of a new tomoe in the eye, with three tomoe being the typical highest form of the eye. The rare Mangekyou form is a unique evolution of the Sharingan beyond the three tomoe form, please see its entry for more information. An eye possessing two tomoe can allow the Uchiha clan member to track the movement of an opponent and do some minor copying of an opponents attack. For avoiding incoming attacks, the Uchiha's speed and agility will greatly control whether they can move to avoid it. However, three tomoe will greatly help in this area.

Two tomoe will also allow the ninja to pierce Genjutsu and see the surrounding reality for what it really is. It can also allow the member to pierce another’s body and see their chakra. While the eye is not refined enough to see the tenketsu and chakra circulatory system like the Byakugan, it can view the movement and flow of chakra. This can help them tell if a person is trapped in a Genjutsu, or if an attacker is a real threat or merely a bunshin.

An eye containing three tomoe will allow the ninja to see the image of an attacker’s next move from the slightest muscle tension in their body. This prevents wasteful movement and allows the Uchiha clan member to conserve much needed chakra in battle. It allows them to synchronize their movement to strike at an area moments before their opponent is even in that spot, essentially allowing them to strike out and hit their opponent before they're even there.

Three tomoe also grants the Uchiha the ability to do Genjutsu and hypnosis after locking eyes with an enemy. This can be used to cause their opponent to do an attack of the Uchiha's choosing. This hypnosis can also be used as a Genjutsu counter, which is the ability to turn a Genjutsu spell back upon the original caster without the requirement of forming any hand-seals.

[Katon - Fire Element]

Stage: One; Uchiha Katon

- Jutsu Name: Shinku Nousho Chouin. [Scarlet Calligraphy Sealing]
- Description:
Forming a flame on their index finger, they will draw the Kanji of their handseals in the air; the flame burning the air to leave an illuminated embossing of the Kanji. This allows one-armed, or someone only with one arm to be used, to use techniques when they cannot handseal. Slower (requires 2 lines after intoning), it is just as reliable and can be useful when using the other arm to hold someone down.

- Jutsu Name: Katon: Youjiryuu no Jutsu. [Fire Element: Baby Dragon Flame Technique].
- Description:
Taking in a lungful of air, they circulate chakra into it before exhaling a very miniature version of Katon: Ryuu no Jutsu, the small cone of flame usually being the same length of their height. Does minimal damage, unless a direct hit - which can cause, at maximum, serious burns.

- Jutsu Name: Katon: Kasaibouei. [Fire Element: Fire Protection]
- Description:
This first stage of Kasaibouei grants the Genin protection from Katon techniques of their level or below. Techniques below their level will do next-to-no damage, whereas those of the same will be halved; this does not do anything to techniques of a higher level. This technique is passive to any uchiha who learns it.

- Jutsu Name: Katon: Chiisai Kasai no Jutsu. [Fire Element: Tiny Fire Technique]
- Description:
A useful technique, it creates on the base of your palm a tiny flame, used by reacting the Katon chakra with the air of that part. This tiny flame is volatile, however, and when pressed onto clothing will ignite it almost instantly; but can only be pressed once. Without igniting something, this technique does no damage.

- Jutsu Name: Katon: Kabe no Jutsu. [Fire Element: Wall Technique]
- Description:
A simple wall technique, they breathe out a cone of flames which fans up into the air creating a wall; kunai/shuriken which come into contact are usually knocked to one side, slightly, and ninjas who try to pass through without a Jutsu in effect, suffer serious burns. Limits sight of both user and opponent.

Stage: Two; Uchiha Katon

- Jutsu Name: Katon: Kougake no Jutsu. [Fire Element: Gauntlet Technique]
- Description:
The user needs gloves to use this jutsu, by molding chakra over the gloves, the Uchiha makes the fabric flame-proof before exhaling flames over them, this will cause the gloves to set on fire but not do damage to the user. This will add flame damage to any strikes, awkward ones, or could be used to set an opponent on fire via contact.

- Jutsu Name: Katon: Endan. [Fire Element: Fireball Technique]
- Description:
Imbuing their oxygen with Katon chakra, they exhale a ball of fire that is the same size of themselves, which is blasted off at the enemy or object. Capable of destroying a tree or two, a direct-hit can cause at most serious burns.

- Jutsu Name: Katon: Karyuudan no Jutsu. [Fire Element: Fire Dragon Projectile]
- Description:
Breathing out a cone of flame, the fire will form in the air the appearance of a dragons head; which will blast out balls similar to the size of Katon: Endan, at the opponent.

- Jutsu Name: Katon: Buki Fo-ji no Jutsu. [Fire Element: Weapon Forge Technique]
- Description:
Using a form of flame, whether blowing it out or created from another source, he begins using chakra on his hands to mold the flame into a weapon. The weapons that can be made cannot exceed 2.5 feet in length or width, and cannot be a sword of any kind. It may only take on the form of projectiles (kunai, shuriken, arrows, etc.)

- Jutsu Name: Katon: Ryuukokyuu no Jutsu. [Fire Element: Dragon Breath Technique]
- Description:
Taking in a huge breathe, the user will exhale a cone of flames; guided by their hands, which molds into the shape of a dragons head. As the mouth opens it will siphon the flames from its own head, and blast them at high speed to the enemy. Capable of destroying surrounding trees; it can melt boulders to half their size, and has been known to destroy small buildings on impact.

- Jutsu Name: Katon: Kasaibouei. [Fire Element: Fire Protection]
- Description:
At this stage, the same as Genin applies; techniques below their rank are almost of no use, and those of the same rank are halved in damage. On top of this their skin has a natural toughness, which allows them to touch open flames - not ones activated by Jutsu - without being burned, unless for long periods of time. This technique is passive to any uchiha who learns it.

Stage: Three; Uchiha Katon

- Jutsu Name: Enkou Kakuheki. [Flame Wall]
- Description:
One of the few defensive fire techniques available, it begins with the user inhaling deeply, in doing so turning their breath into fire like most katon’s. In this case however, instead of exhaling the fire normally, the user holds their arms close and forcefully channels the fire from their body through their pores. The fire doesn’t form as it usually would immediately upon exiting the body, instead it forms as a circle of flame that surrounds the user between one and two meter’s in diameter. Fueled by the users chakra the flame immediately shoots upwards, going as high as fifteen feet while still remaining relatively dense.

However, while the flame’s are unnaturally dense, they still do not actually prevent most things from penetrating the flame’s. The way the defense actually works involves the rapidly rising flame, which quickly forces anything entering the flame upwards, and anything that refuses to be forced upwards is often torn apart by the flame’s themselves.

- Jutsu Name: Bunryuu Funshutsu. [Cracking Eruption]
Description:
Upon completing a series of hand seals, the user stomps their foot on the ground hard, in which tiny cracks will appear and spread out. The cracks will move quickly and can reach up to ten feet before releasing large gouts of flames. The blasts can be controlled by the user, in which they can direct the blasts with their chakra.

- Jutsu Name: Katon: Ame Hinote no Jutsu (Fire Element: Raining Flames)
- Description:
Whether blowing a ball of flame or having it created through another source, the user molds it into a ball of flame, and tosses it in the air. The ball of flame expands into a cloud, and at the user’s command, will being releasing “drops” of flame upon the opponent. The flames are approximately the size of golf balls.

- Jutsu Name: Katon: Kasaibouei. [Fire Element: Fire Protection]
- Description:
This level grants the same as the others, near immunity of techniques below itself and half the damage removed from those of similar rank. In addition to this, their skin has reached a stage where non-jutsu/chakra created flames cannot burn them (candles, torches, etc) and their lungs are no longer affected by the usage of fire techniques (burning, caused by the Katon chakra). This technique is passive to any uchiha who learns it.

- Jutsu Name: Honoo Kei. [Flame Whip]
- Description: Taking upon a source of flame, the user pulls it into their hand and then immediately snaps it forward. A whip made of purely of flames emerges from it. The whip has an elastic attribute, and can be as long as 5 feet

Stage: Four; Uchiha Katon

- Jutsu Name: Katon: Bakusai Kabe no Jutsu. [Fire Element: Blasting Wall Technique]
- Description:
Forming the necessary handseals, they blast out a cone of flames along the ground around them; which will then shoot up into the sky, ferociously warm and constantly forcing upwards. Any kunai/shuriken which come into contact are either blasted away or melted down, and it is impossible for a Ninja, without use of a Jutsu, to pass through it alive.

- Jutsu Name: Hi Wa. [Fire Wheels]
- Description:
The jutsu begins with but a single seal, which after a brief moment causes several balls of fire to appear around the user, swirling around them constantly. These fireballs stay at a constant distance from the user, no matter how fast they move, making them a perfect jutsu for offensive and defensive purposes, making it very dangerous for anyone caught to close to the Uchiha. The speed and number of the fireballs is dependant on the users control and reserves respectively. With only average chakra control the fireballs move quite lazily and are easy to dodge, while with advanced chakra control the balls can be made to move with such speed that it is difficult to tell if it is actually fireballs circling the user, and not simply large rings of fire. The max amount of fireballs that can be created at a time is ten.

- Jutsu Name: Katon: Bakuretsu Kabe no Jutsu. [Fire Element: Exploding Wall Technique]
- Description:
Breathing out a large cone of flame, the ground it touches will shoot flames into the air at amazing heights and width. Any kunai/shuriken which come into contact are combusted into flames and shot back in the direction they came; though not able to be aimed at the opponent. Only breakable by Jutsu of the same level+, even with the aid of a Jutsu attempting to pass through it is almost always fatal.

- Jutsu Name: Honoo Kanadzuchi. Fire Hammer
- Description:
A blaze surrounds the user’s arm, their hands filling with flames. Then, with the power of the flame in front their arm, it enhances his strength of a strike temporarily, making it hit with the density of a blacksmith's hammer. The arm hits with a battering ram effect, and cannot be used in conjunction with a weapon or any other technique. This effectively gives the Uchiha a bonus to their taijutsu..

Stage: Five; Uchiha Katon

- Jutsu Name: Sokkenai Honoo. [Cold Flame]
- Description:
With the expression "so cold it burns" comes a new flame. Camouflaged as deep crimson, only one difference remains which is the difference in speed from a normal flame. This "cold flame" possesses an actual mass, subjecting it to the law of gravity.
-The flame is placed in the form of any attack the user performs involving flame. A substitute, basically. (This includes the armor) The cold flame is replaced with the regular flame in the calligraphy as well.
-This cold flame has a temperature of -18 degrees Celsius, or 0 degrees Fahrenheit. When this hits an object, it spreads over it, enhancing the freezing effect. After it begins to freeze, the severe cold burns the object to the point in which the cells die and begin to break down the object. Human skin is slightly harder to burn, as the additional layers of the epidermis helps protect the skin from frostbite, but even then, the skin cannot prevent it after a while. Continued exposure to the cold flame can cause frostbite as quickly as an extra post.

- Jutsu Name: Katon: Honoo Tereporutashon. [Fire Element: Flame Teleportation]
- Description: This jutsu requires the use of a regular fire jutsu to begin (Katon Ryuuka and Katon Goukakyuu are ideal for this). The user begins the fire jutsu like normal, breathing out flame in the direction of the intended target, however, at a point chosen by the user, the users body seems to evaporate, being replaced by flames which are quickly swept along the same path as the flames from the technique. The user has infact allowed their body to merge with the flames, and in the short moment before the flames dissipate entierly, the user allows themselves to be pushed forward so their body can reform at spot where the flames were targeted. This jutsu despite allowing the user to move quickly from one spot to another is not typically suitable as a jutsu for quickly avoiding as it requires another fire jutsu to be used to begin it, as such it is more often used for surprise attacks.

- Jutsu Name: Katon: Dai Endan. [Fire Element: Grand Fireball]
- Description:
Exhaling a huge amount of air, the user will cast a fireball almost twice the size and width of Goukakyuu no Jutsu; causing damage which is unparalleled amongst most fire techniques. A direct hit is enough to destroy a powerful summon, and kill a man easily.

- Jutsu Name: Katon: Tatsumakai no Jutsu. [Fire Element: Tornado Technique]
- Description:
Breathing out flames, as they spin on the spot, the flames will swirl around their body at amazing speeds fanning out the heat; and will move with the user provided they continue spinning. Shuriken and Kunai cannot make it through, and direct hits to the Tornado can be life-threatening. The downside is the Uchiha inside of the tornado cannot see, hear or even sense where the opponent is; and so this is not a trustworthy offense

Stage: Six; Uchiha Katon

- Jutsu Name: Yougan Tsuba. [Lava Spit]
Description:
After performing a series of seals and building up a supply of chakra in their lungs, the Uchiha spits out a liquid orb of lava…about the size of a softball. The lava ball is very much like lava; a direct hit on bare skin can cause serious burns. After being exposed to the air for a few seconds the lava will cool, and if it had struck a person, it will dry up and become a hard substance that limits a person’s movement depending on where it hardens. The substance can be broken, but requires a Stage: Four taijutsu to do so, anything lower will have severe difficulties escaping. Up to five of these lava balls can be spat at a time, though after there the user must wait for approximately two minutes before using this technique again.

- Jutsu Name: Katon: Nenshou Kuuki. [Fire Element: Burning Air]
- Description:
Forcing the Katon chakra out in waves, it will cause visible chakra to emit, red in color (alike the Kyuubi's) from the Uchiha, for a few seconds. After the channeling they will blast out a large amount, 1/10 of their chakra reserves, to heat up the surrounding air. Though they, and all Uchiha of the same rank, remain unaffected (Kasaibouei), any others who breathe in this air run the risk of burning their lungs; continued breathing is fatal.

- Jutsu Name: Katon: Misairu Danmaku no Jutsu. [Fire Element: Missile Barrage Technique]
- Description:
After blowing a desired size ball of flame, the ball begins to travel in any direction, as if a slightly larger single Housenka. At will, the ball of flame can shoot "missiles" of flame, about 2 inches thick and with the shape of a needle. The "missiles" can be controlled if the user is within 2 feet of the original ball. The attack is controlled with the trails of flame that are left behind when they shoot towards a target. The power of the attack is slightly stronger in comparison to explosion tags when making impact. Strings can be used to control the movement of the original ball.


Stage: Seven; Uchiha Katon

- Jutsu Name: Katon: Yajuu no Hisaki. [Fire Element: Beast of Flames]
- Description:
Breathing out a huge cone of flames, the Uchiha will mold it with his hands - fingers moving as they breathe the flames - to make what appears to be a huge flaming wolf. The size of 2 lions on top of each other, the beast will only dissipate after it is cancelled or it recieves a fatal blow (it mimics the anatomy of a human, heart; etc, but no brain). A direct hit from its paw can ignite you, and its sheer heatwaves make Taijutsu ineffective. Capable of casting Stage 2 Uchiha Katon, by using itself as a source (each time it does, it becomes smaller).

- Jutsu Name: Fudan Funshutsu. [Unremitting Eruption]
- Description:
Swirling flames around their arm, the user places a chunk of it straight into their fist. By then slamming their fist into the ground, it allows the flame to pierce straight through the ground, in which it will travel up and burst forth in a straight line. This jutsu has a maximum range of 20 meters.


- Jutsu Name: Honoo no Wareme. [Chasm Of Flame]
- Description:
After a short series of seals, the user holds their hands up to their mouth and exhales a short breath over their hands, imbuing their hands with incredible heat. This heat is not harmful to the user, but the moment they touch a solid object, the heat from that hand is released, typically melting through the object in question. Naturally the type of material touched will determine the efficacy of the technique, as such while the user could easily incinerate a reasonably large tree with one hand, they would need to expend the heat in both hands to melt through something such as a thick steel door. The name of the technique comes from the first known use of this technique, in which the shinobi pressed both of their hands to the ground in the direction of an advancing group of shinobi, burning right through the ground to a great depth, causing a number of the shinobi to fall in and succumb to the flames within. Unfortunately one major drawback of this technique, is it cannot be used when the user is moving at high speeds, the reason being that the high speed contact with the heat imbued hands actually causes the air itself to ignite, potentially burning the users hands and anything else exposed to the flames, though the jutsu is still usable providing the users body has not been damaged too much by the flames.


Stage: Eight; Uchiha Katon

- Jutsu Name: Katon: Kasaibouei. [Fire Element: Fire Protection]
- Description:
The same as the others, it grants the user great defense against Katon below their level; reducing the damage to minimal, and those of the same level become halved in damage. On top of this, their lungs cannot be burnt unless using a technique of their level+ and they are impervious to non-Jutsu/Chakra maintained flames (torches, candles, oven flames). This technique is passive to any uchiha who learns it.

- Jutsu Name: Katon: Denkiteki Ryuukokyuu. [Fire Element: Legendary Dragon Breath]
- Description: Using twice the chakra as Katon: Ryuukokyuu no Jutsu the Uchiha will breathe out a huge jet of flames, which forms into the shape of two dragons heads - back to back. They in turn siphon their flames into the surrounding area, destroying the area they are in. 360 degrees of fire, with a single untouched spot between the two that the Uchiha stands (this spot is determined by where they cast it). Usable only once, as the sheer use of chakra tests their protection to the limit; their lungs tenderized by the chakra.

- Jutsu Name: Katon: Gouka. [Fire Element: Hellfire]
- Description:
By molding chakra, the Uchiha can “flick” a small ball of fire towards the enemy. The goal is not to strike them, but to just make sure it lands near the area they are in. Once this small ball of flames come into contact with the ground, it’ll immediately grown and surround the target in a complete circle. There is a small five-second delay as the small spheres of fire flash, before the circle of flames erupt into a huge column of fire, reaching up to twenty feet high. The heat generated from the flames are so intense that anything within the column will be incinerated. With a higher level of ninjutsu the user can increase the range of the fires; a Stage: Five mastery in Katon ninjutsu would only be large enough to encompass one person, while a Stage: Eight Katon mastery could encircle a small village.

- Jutsu Name: Katon: Kyouryuuhouka. [Fire Element: Great Dragon Fire Technique]
- Description: Exhaling a huge breathe of flame, this fireball exceeds the power of all the others of it's tree. Capable of destroying huge expanses of wildlife and environment; few have seen this great technique and survived - though the cost it incurs is high, in chakra.

[Raiton - Lightning Element]

- Jutsu Name: Chidori Eisou [Thousand Birds Sharp Spear]
- Requirements: Jounin Ranked.
- Description: The user is able to shape the Lightning Element to form an extending blade of lightning. Though unstated, this blade probably takes on Chidori's characteristics, including it's ability to cut through anything which stands in its path, allowing the sword to strike its target with ease. This attack may also be similar to Chidori Nagashi, causing the target to go numb from the electrical charge.

- Jutsu Name: Chidori [Thousand Birds]
- Requirements: Jounin Ranked.
- Description: Chidori is used for assassination purposes. Activating the body to focus chakra to the hand, the user's hand becomes enveloped by an electrical force. This force is their chakra altered in nature to an electrical current. By altering the shape of the force, similar to an electrical discharge, they can decide the power and range of the attack. After concentrating all the chakra into the arm, the user use their celerity and the power of the thrust from the chakra to pierce any object with the extended forearm. Because their opponent can easily counter the attack, it requires a Sharingan user to make the technique worthwhile. The Sharingan will allow them to predict any moves their opponent decides to make and send their strike home into the target. Due to the high speed, the force emits a sound like a thousand birds chirping which gave the technique its name. Because of the great amount of chakra needed to utilize the technique, the technique can only be used so many times during the day.

- Jutsu Name: Chidori Nagashi. [One Thousand Birds Current]
- Requirements: Chuunin (Advanced).
- Description: Forcing the chakra around their body, mainly into the hand, they excrete the Raiton chakra out into the air and blast it around their body in a 360 degree radius; 3 meters in length on all sides. To be caught in this current causes huge stuns across your body; rendering you immobile.

- Jutsu Name: Chidori no Yaiba. [One Thousand Birds Sword]
- Requirements: Chuunin Ranked.
- Description: Using the basics of Chidori, without use of handseals, the user molds the lightning before arcing it out in a line; like a blade. The blade itself has better strength capabilities than steel, and if a fatal wound is not struck the lightning hitting the opponents body can stun them powerfully.

- Jutsu Name: Chidori no Senbon. [One Thousand Birds Senbon]
- Requirements: Genin Ranked.
- Description: Using the same principle the user creates a Senbon-like shape out of the Chidori, and can throw it at an opponent. The higher the rank, the more the user can throw (only one at a time). A direct hit will cause lightning to arc over the opponent; stunning the area it hits for a long time.

- Jutsu Name: Chidori Bujutsu. [One Thousand Birds Martial Arts]
- Requirements: Uchiha Clan Genin.
- Description: The founding knowledge of Chidori, to learn the progressive arts and the move itself the Uchiha must learn this Bujutsu; to master the thrusts, speed and control it requires.

* In order to learn the progressions you must learn Chidori first. Otherwise these progressions will not be possible due to the fact you do not have the fundamentals to learn the rest.


+ Clan Background Information: The Uchiha clan were one of the founding noble families of Leaf village. The clan itself is said to be descended from the Hyuuga clan who possess the bloodline of the Byakugan eye. Because their clan possessed the Sharingan or "Wheel Eye," the Uchiha excelled at being able to read and fend off attackers. This made them prime candidates to help found the Konoha Military Police Corps. The organization itself would go on to incorporate the Uchiha fan symbol into their official logo.

Select few members of the Uchiha clan possess the ability to activate the bloodline Sharingan eye. This doujutsu (eye skill) gives one the ability to read Genjutsu, Taijutsu and Ninjutsu and then defeat it. As such, the clan member can view a technique being performed and see the tricks and movements required to be able to complete it. However the clan member can not copy techniques which are unique to another bloodline. It also gives one the ability to cast jutsu techniques only possible by possessing the eye.

The clan itself is known for their ties to fire. For a clan ninja to be seen as an adult, they must be able to utilize a Katon (Fire Element) jutsu such as Goukakyuu no Jutsu. Thus is the tie between the manipulation of fire and the mind of an Uchiha member
