[ UNIVERSAL ANBU JUTSU. ]

ANBU no Bujutsu: Ichi; ANBU Martial Arts: One.
 Description:
-- The basic combat style taught to the ANBU. The style focuses on vital striking and breaking moves. Speed and power are not addressed in this style, as it is developed to be useful to a Shinobi of any background. The style focuses on closed fist and spear hand attacks, as well as kunai and senbon combat. With this level, the ANBU learns to use a senbon effectively by bracing the butt of the needle against his palm and using it for vital attacks. More often than not, ANBU with previous taijutsu training and those who have a family style of combat rarely learn beyond this level.

ANBU no Bujutsu: Ni; ANBU Martial Arts: Two.
 Description:
-- A continuation of the basic combat style taught to ANBU. This stage of the style builds upon the previous, focusing on accuracy in close combat with brutal strikes and breaking manuevers. Designed to end an engagement quickly, this stage often makes use of kunai and senbon needles, as well as the standard issue ANBU katana. Basic use of the katana is taught, with a preference to quick, short cuts and stabs. Speed is not increased, power is not increased, but lethal effectiveness is.

ANBU no Bujutsu: San; ANBU Martial Arts: Three.
 Description:
-- Advanced-level ANBU martial arts. This stage of learning focuses on katana use, as well as kunai and senbon needles in ranged combat. With vital strike training completed, an emphasis is placed on speed, to allow the ANBU to engage and nuetralize a number of opponents quickly and effectively. Accuracy in both close and ranged combat increases. The speed with which the ANBU attacks is increased, but general movement speed is not. Strength increases with speed, and the ANBU's lethal effectiveness increases with it.

ANBU no Bujutsu: Yon; ANBU Martial Arts: Four.
 Description:
-- Mastery level of ANBU martial arts. The use of the Katana is focused heavily upon at this stage and, while not as flashy or beautiful to behold as the sword masters of other styles, ANBU at this level make up for it with extreme lethal effectiveness. Movement speed increases, and combat training has an emphasis on both fighting as a team and engaging multiple opponents. One on one duels are discouraged, as ANBU are trained to take any opportunity that will benefit the team, and thus they can switch targets in tandem, providing a confusing offense or defense as the situation dictates. Strength training is not a priority, as the katana is a lethal weapon that does not require a great deal of strength behind it. At range, the ANBU are now very skilled in using kunai and senbon as projectiles; often using them to flush an attacker towards an assault prepared by a teammate. ANBU strike teams usually consist of members with this level of Taijutsu.

 Hitoku no Jutsu; Concealment Technique.
 Description:
-- A basic ANBU Genjutsu, this causes the user and the area immediately around the user (within one meter) to change in ways that would better aid the user in hiding. For example, in a darkened area the shadows will seem to converge on and around the ANBU, further hiding him from sight. In a forested area, the technique would discolour the user to better blend him in with the surroundings, as well as altering the plants in the area to better shield him. Note that all of these effects are purely illusionary; the shadows in the first example, the discolouration and the plant alteration of the second example. The jutsu works primarily because it is subtle, taking little chakra and having a small localized effect, even those who could pierce the illusion rarely give it enough notice to do so.

Kanashibari no Jutsu; Body Freeze Technique.
 Description:
-- A fundamental ANBU jutsu (it is very rare for a member of ANBU to not have this technique), Kanashibari causes a target (single) to become completely paralyzed. The jutsu works by means of nervous system overload, communicated by various means. The most common is by eye sight, wherein the ANBU will hold a one-hand seal as the focal point and force the user into a state of mental submission. In this instance, the ANBU must remain still for the jutsu to be successful. Kanashibari by touch is slightly less problematic, wherein the effect is directly translated by a sharp jolt of chakra being sent into the target via any visibly bare skin. This chakra surges through the target instantly, using their own neurons as transmitters. (Kai can be used by a teammate to eliminate the effects of Kanashibari).

Shunshin no Genjutsu; Instantaneous Body Illusion Technique.
 Description:
-- An almost exact replica of the Shunshin no Jutsu – from same hand seal requirements to similar visual effects – Shunshin no Genjutsu is one of the various techniques in the ANBU’s arsenal focused on misdirection. While the user appears to have performed Shunshin, disappearing in a swirl of leaves, he actually doesn’t leave the scene. He merely tricks his opponent in believing that he is gone when he is in fact just camouflaged and out of sight of his opponent. He is virtually undetectable from that point not only because the target really believes Shunshin has been used (due to the similarity of the techniques) but also because his senses are being altered such that he is convinced it is the case. With the opponent’s guard down, it is then possible for the user to come up with a surprise attack.

Onkyou Hitoku no Jutsu; Sound Concealment Technique.
 Description:
-- A basic stealth technique, this genjutsu causes the immediate area around the user (one meter) to change, concealing his actions at least as far as audio is concerned. The sounds are masked with whatever would be appropriate for the area. In a tree, for example, this might change the slight footfalls of the ANBU into the sound of a gentle wind; in the grass, an ANBU's movements may be heard as the slight call of insects. When combined with Hitoku no Jutsu, a basic camoflauge effect is obtained, but the hiding effects of the Hitoku no Jutsu are decreased, as it is harder to remain inconspicuous while moving, at least at this level.

 Shielded Cognitive Process Technique.
 Description:
-- Within the ANBU, it has always been thought that the emphasis has rather been on physical or tactical prowess. However, many seem to underestimate the extremes which members are put through, steeling their minds and preparing them for their lives in the Special Forces. In this way, the ANBU is able to withstand such mental suggestions, influences, and torture by literally blanking their mind and going into a subdued trance. Worthless as a combat ability, it instead allows the ANBU to doggedly escape into their subconscious and otherwise protect their village’s greatest secrets. Chakra is further used to garner their mental defenses, and any person who tries to invade their mind is instantaneously blocked out.

Itsushika Ugoki no Jutsu; Unnoticed Movement Technique.
 Description:
-- A high level stealth technique that combines the overlying principles of its parent techniques, Itsushika Ugoki no Jutsu allows the ANBU to move unseen and unheard for a short time. The technique gives off what at first seems an optical illusion around the user that erases him from the sight of those who look at him. Whereas most would consider this an illusion, it is instead an expertly conceived ninjutsu which uses chakra to literally mask the entirety of the user in such a way that they take on the same visual composition of it. Constantly emitting and manipulating the invisible chakra, it acts as a coat that makes the user likewise invisible. Second to this technique is the sound dampening barrier that is erected alongside the visual shield (as it has been referred to as). This allows the ANBU to move unheard, but keeps him deaf to sound from outside the barrier, making it impractical for spying but highly effective against Sound-based techniques.

Note: The optical effect of this jutsu can be detected by all means that can otherwise see chakra in its raw form. Chakra-sensing techniques (and techniques only) are viable options as well. The sound barrier of this technique makes it so that Sound-based Ninjutsu Stage 3 and below are nullified, whereas Sound-based Genjutsus are disrupted.

Kage Bunshin no Jutsu; Shadow Clone Technique.
 Description:
-- A forbidden Jutsu that creates clones, which are not just plain illusions (like the normal Bunshin no Jutsu). Each clone is an exact replica of the user, capable of attacking. A direct hit causes the clone to disappear.

Konoha Shunshin no Jutsu; Leaf Instantaneous Body.
 Description:
-- An ability which allows the user to transport from one area to another in a veil of leaves. The user has to have been to the area before, and be able to sense the location with his own chakra before being able to transport himself there. This means that the distance is limited to about one mile. This jutsu can only be used to escape combat, and may not be used in the same post if the shinobi has attacked or defended. ANBU use of this technique is highly organized, the village is divided into sectors and specific spots are committed to memory. In conjunction with the standard issue ANBU communication gear, this allows the ANBU to respond to attacks on the village with speed and efficiency.

[ NEKO "CAT" DIVISION. ]

Kidou: Usureruho; Demon Arts: Fade Step Technique.
 Description:
-- Concentrating all their mental and physical focus on a single destination and at a precise moment, they are able to move beyond their normal means, expounding it all at once with clear intent. Visually it takes on the appearance of a person moving in a blur from one spot to the next, though there are limitations. Due to the speed at which the user moves, only a short distance can be covered here, the most skilled Neko vaulting no more than 10m. Second, the distance traveled must be somewhere the user has already been, and in a straight, unobstructed line (one cannot step onto the other side of a corner, nor travel through the distance in between). This Jutsu strains the body, and thus can only be used rarely.

Kidou: Gihen; Demon Arts: Deception Technique.
 Description:
-- Understanding just how exactly the body moves is only part of how this illusion works. Based on the various silhouette genjutsu, the user claps his hand together to activate this jutsu (using either the sound of the clap, or the view of the user). For a short period of time, the user’s movements are altered by the visual genjutsu. A right dodge is instead interpreted as a left dodge. Punching with a left hand is seen as a punch made by the right hand. Simple, but highly effective physical alterations of that sort are common. The limit presents itself in that the visual illusion only affects them, and only within a 1m radius. That is to say, if their illusion were to shift past that invisible barrier around the user, then it would be dispelled immediately (i.e., a silhouette running in the opposite direction would only work until that illusion went past the 1m radius around the user).

Kidou: Kuukuu; Demon Arts: Void Technique.
 Description:
-- Using this technique, the Neko is able to completely render themselves undetectable by all extraordinary means. As a form of mental blankness and acute chakra blanketing, the Neko is able to bypass infrared, nightvision, heightened senses of smell, and even methods of tracking by chakra signature for example. Most importantly, however, this jutsu makes the user incapable of being pinpointed by Doujutsu. To a Doujutsu user, no matter their means of interpreting a person and their abilities, the Neko appears to them as if a part of the background. However, it is possible to still hear the Neko.

Kidou: Hakubou Kari; Demon Arts: Twilight Shear Technique.
 Description:
-- To a Neko, the kunai is but an extension of their body. The cleanest, surest, and quietest method of disabling a single person is a swift slice to the jugular from close range, which this very basic shinobi tool manages with ease. It makes the kill personal, it makes it real. However there is a time for tact and a time for tactic. To an ANBU who has reached an impasse between them and their mark, this technique was devised to transform their kunai into one of the deadliest forces in Konoha’s arsenal. Focusing all their killer intent upon their blade of choice (for a kunai is not always a Neko’s best friend), they sharpen it over and over with their own chakra. Physically the kunai takes the length of a small katana (and in the case of anything larger than that they stay remain the same length) as chakra engulfs it in a coat of obsidian. However, because of the chakra on it moves back and forth across the entirety of the weapon at a rapid pace, its cutting effect is rivaled by none.

 Ansatsu Niyou; Assassination Methods.
 Description:
-- Stealth (in the basic sense) is a quality cultivated by most shinobi, and is not something inherent to the ANBU. This study, however, encapsulates the training, methods, and meditations that allow the ANBU to become a shadow even amidst the shadows. In other words, this is a level of stealth and assassination studies that even very skilled shinobi can only scratch the surface of without training. This study is divided into three parts; methodology, physical, and mental.

-- The first step, methodology, includes the study of principles draw from experimentation as to the best ways to blend in with a crowd, places least expected for hiding, as well as evading detection. This training teaches the ANBU to rely on techniques for stealth only when absolutely necessary. A study of the most commonly known detection techniques, and the principles behind them, allow students of this study to hide in plain sight (that is, evade detection through mundane means.) The second half of this step, assassination principles, teaches the ANBU the best ways to effectively nuetralize a target without undue noise with a variety of weapons both at range and up close.

-- The second step, physical training, is simply that; training. The students of this study put it's principles to constant use, learning to move quietly through a pile of dried leaves (for example,) learning how to remove any signs of their passing, and learning how to approach a target hidden from view, regardless of the number of people around. Once this step is completed, the Shinobi moves like a shadow, unseen and unheard unless he wishes otherwise. At this point, the student moves on to the final training.

-- Mental training, while showing no outward benefits to skill, is by far the most important aspect of this study. Through long and deep meditations, the student learns how to abandon his sense of self. This mind of no mind allows the shinobi to remove all traces of his presence (not physical presence, but mental,) obliterating any sign of killer intent and allowing the shinobi to move and react without giving thought to it; his actions dictated by the here and now. Muscle memory takes over, and all the principles learned in physical training are put to use. Upon completing this step, the ANBU is a master of stealth and assassination.

[ FUKUROU "OWL" DIVISION. ]

Kidou: Daishunshin; Demon Arts: Great Shunshin Technique.
 Description:
-- Predominantly a solo operative, the Fukurou are often placed in the most dangerous positions to fulfill their missions. That said, the ANBU have developed a greater version of Shunshin exclusive to Fukurou that give them the means to evade capture and worse. With this technique, the user is able to instantly teleport themselves up to four miles away. Furthermore, this version of shunshin is untraceable, and thus provides the perfect means of escape. However, as with the previous Shunshin, the user must have been within the area previously in order to transport there and may not bring along passengers.

 Seirei; Phantasm Technique.
 Description:
-- The solitary Fukurou from ANBU generally have no one but themselves to depend on during reconnaissance missions; the scouts and spies from Konoha are often sent to the front without backup to reduce the probability of being spotted. Phantasm was developed to aid them in their scouting and spying enterprises. The technique basically allows the ANBU to create an image of himself, much like a clone, and direct it anywhere he wishes to. The downside to this replica is that it, of course, is physically harmless alongside terribly frail - since there is a sort of mental connection between the ANBU and the 'hologram', a mere attack on the Phantasm will be enough to momentarily disrupt the concentration of the user, thus destroying the clone. Still, its purpose essentially being one of information gathering, it is able to conceal itself by the same means as the ANBU himself (camouflage technique, sound concealment, etc). The Fukurou receives information directly from the phantasm - he sees through its eyes, hears through its ears, etc. While an inconvenience is that the user must remain stationary while using the technique, this downside is more than made up by the unlimited range of the Jutsu.

 Mozouhin; Impressions Technique.
 Description:
-- What started as a practical joke designed to make fun of fellow ANBU colleagues developed into probably one of the most amazing techniques in the arsenal of Fukurou. Impressions is the ability with which Fukurou are able to literally imitate a person of their choice temporarily, provided they've encountered them before. While appearance is taken care of by an advanced Henge, it is always surprising with how much accuracy the personality traits - even tics - are mimicked. Owls are so 'in-character' while performing this technique that they can even temporarily use techniques of the person they are imitating, albeit to a lesser degree (2 stages lower per list; excluding bloodline and clan abilities).

Notes:
-- To be able to imitate someone, the Owl must have had observed the person and rehearsed his act for a relatively long period (about 1 year). It is not possible to simply copy someone just by having a look at him.
-- While doing Impressions, their own techniques are not available to them.
-- Those techniques which are imitated cannot be copied; they are foregone once the technique is cancelled.

 Nijuushin; Doppleganger Technique.
 Description:
-- An eerie combination of Seirei and Mozouhin, Nijuushin allows the Fukurou to create a temporary clone of a person. With a drop of blood, a single hair, or even a flake of skin the ANBU is able to fashion from it an exact replica of the person to whom the sample belongs, right down to the most minute detail. More than that, with the use of Mozouhin, they are able to instill that person’s most recent behavioral patterns into the clone and therefore give it a personality which best mimics that of the original. By this the Fukurou comes into the possession of the most potent body double and spy in all of Konoha’s collection, capable of communicating its findings over vast distances. Known to infiltrate organizations with the utmost ease and even to keep watch over valuable targets which would normally be impossible to come near, it is an invaluable asset to any operation.

Notes:
-- The clone possesses all the personality traits of the person it is cloned from. True-life memories and such are restricted only to the month prior to creation; though with the help of the Fukurou further history may be supplemented. Techniques of the person in question, though, are not carried over, and furthermore the clone possesses no combat capabilities. It is usually a habit to clone non-shinobi, but this is based on the preference/necessity/availability of the Fukurou.
-- While this technique is in use, the user must remain in a semi-comatose state so as to control and receive the highly semantic information of the clone. In this state, they do not require even food or drink, but awakening from such a state is obviously debilitating.

[ OOKAMI "WOLF" DIVISION. ]

Waikyoku no Kisochishiki; Fundamental Knowledge of Torture.
 Description:
-- Basic training for Wolves, this covers the basics of physical and mental torture. On the physical aspect, the ANBU learns various ways to cause large amounts of pain with little or no real damage. This is usually enough to convince the weak-willed to speak what they know, or confess that they know nothing. On the mental aspect, the ANBU learns various ways to agitate the prisoner's mind. The type of agitation depends on the character, but most either try to instill anger (in hopes that the prisoner lets slip a clue in their anger) or fear (likewise hoping for an unintentional slip of information.) Non-Wolves who take this training do not learn the art of Torture and Interrogation, but rather how to resist both. Note: Wolves learn both how to torture and how to resist torture.

Waikyoku no Saimitsu; Detailed Knowledge of Torture.
 Description:
-- Advanced training in torture and interrogation. This builds upon the prior training, introducing more effective methods to physically torture a captive as well as many different ways to break down a captive mentally. On the physical aspect, the Wolf learns to cause extreme pain while keeping the captive conscious and lucid. This easily breaks the weak-willed, and can errode the resistance of even one who has been trained against torture. On the mental aspect, the Wolf learns to read his captive's general personality and better tailor his attacks to the captive. The result is a much more personal, and much more effective interrogation, playing against the captive's mental weaknesses. Non-Wolves who take this training do not learn the art of torture and interrogation, but rather are trained to resist extreme measures of torture and interrogation. Note: Wolves learn both how to torture and how to resist torture.

 Dokushinjutsu; Mind Reading Technique.
 Description:
-- A powerful and intrusive jutsu, this technique allows a Wolf ANBU to view images relevant to the questions being asked. Usually, the target is either first broken mentally or physically through torture (or both, for best effect.) The Wolf then uses the technique, placing a hand on the captive's forehead. The first part of the technique serves to addle the captive's senses and remove any mental guards the target may have remaining to him. Once this is done, the user closes his eyes and asks his captive a question. The captive need not answer, the technique draws the first thoughts from his mind on the subject and shows them to the user. Despite its power, the technique must be used carefully, however. Questions cannot excede ten words, and vague questions produce vague answers or confusion.

Shinkei Zoufuku no Jutsu; Nerve Sensitivity Amplification Technique.
 Description:
-- An advanced torture technique of the ANBU Wolves. This causes the sensitivity of the target's nerves to increase tenfold, such that the slight prick of a needle is felt like the stabbing of a knife. Used to physically break captives, the effect lasts for one hour and may be used consecutively. Skilled Wolves have learned through previous training how to keep their captive conscious, so the target remains awake and very much in pain. Given enough time, this technique can break the will of most shinobi. This technique can also be used in combat; the Wolf must touch his opponent. The effect, however, is the same.

 Heijoushin; Presence of Mind Technique.
 Description:
-- Although they might usually not be the fittest for field missions, ANBU Ookami are nonetheless regarded as welcome additions to squads, simply based on what they can bring to the group as a whole. Heijoushin is one of those abilities which make them so valuable. This technique basically enables the ANBU to raise the awareness of their allies to make them better suited to react to situations. In other words, while this technique is active - for which the user must remain stationary while maintaining a seal for the whole duration - any allies will temporarily be fully aware of their surroundings, thus able to predict and react, almost instantaneously, to any sort of attack (Tai, Nin or Gen).

 Muchuu; Hypnosis Technique.
 Description:
-- After a lengthy preparation, the Wolf ANBU grabs the head of the subject in his two hands and forces him to gaze into his eyes, while forcing chakra into his brain. After a while, the victim will start to feel drowsy and feel like losing consciousness - which in reality refers to his or her loss of will. In this state of semi-coma, he'll be able to hear nothing but the voice of the Ookami and feel compelled to respond and obey the commands uttered by the voice. The possibilities are endless once the victim is hypnotized. One can ask simple question to which the victim will be forced to reply truthfully (Max. of 3 questions). The human puppet can even be commanded to attack anyone, as per the wish of his new master.

Notes:
-- While under Hypnosis, the user retains all his techniques yet doesn't act as a normal person would; thus it is easy to distinguish that he isn't quite himself and thus is being manipulated.
-- Hypnosis can only be used on completely immobilized/neutralized targets, and requires close eye contact.

Kidou: Zenshenfuzui; Demon Arts: Total Paralysis Technique.
 Description:
-- Much like Kanashibari, this is instead a much refined and potent version. Gathering all their mental focus into the process of performing this jutsu, the proper seals are performed and then the target is bound in place. As the namesake entails, all sensation is lost to the user, literally becoming numb over the entire span of their body. The Ookami will use this technique to paralyze a captive, then proceed to use whatever torture method they prefer on their person till releasing the jutsu and allowing them to feel the full measure of their pain in a single moment. Obviously, it is quite a devastating jutsu in that respect. In combat situations it is slightly less effective.

Note: The effect of this technique when used in combat can only be maintained so long as the user remains stationary and keeps eye contact with the target. If in any way their view is substantially obscured, the connection is broken and the target is able to move. This Jutsu may be broken by an ally using Kai on the victim and can only be used once on any given target.

[ TAKA "FALCON" DIVISION. ]

Shuryou no Kisochishiki; Fundamental Knowledge of Hunting.
 Description:
-- Basic training for Falcons, and generally a good area for any ANBU to become skilled in. This training covers the basics (in the ANBU, considered above+average outside of it) of hunting and tracking. With this knowledge, a character can easily spot the signs of prey (man or beast) that have passed through the area, and can differentiate tracks from the same species (telling the difference between two shinobi's tracks, for example.) The signs must be recent (no longer than a day old) and weather conditions such as heavy rain will destroy the trail beyond what a character of this level can follow.

Shuryou no Saimitsu; Detailed Knowledge of Hunting.
 Description:
-- Advanced training in the area of Hunting and Tracking, this allows the ANBU to follow trails left by his quarry quickly. His eyes are trained to spot ambushes and traps, as well as diversions left by the prey. He can read the signs well enough to follow a several day old trail, and can even pick out signs of passage after severe changes in the weather, though after either such case, he cannot follow as quickly as normal.

Doton: Tsuiga no Jutsu; Earth Release: Tracking Fang Technique.
 Description:
-- In this jutsu, summoning of nin-dogs is used for tracking down an enemy. These nin-dogs have an extremely keen sense of smell. The nin-dogs burst from the ground, and can immobilizes the user’s opponent. As an ANBU Jutsu restricted to Falcons, this technique is still not that easily obtained.

Ketsueki Ashigatsuku no Jutsu; Blood Tracking Technique.
 Description:
-- An advanced tracking technique, this allows an ANBU (who must smear the blood of his prey on his palm) to follow the person he is tracking regardless of distance and any attempts to throw off the trail that the persued may take. The ANBU cannot gauge the distance between himself and the prey, but by stopping, concentrating, and holding out the hand bearing the opponent's blood, he can always determine the correct direction of his quarry. This effect lasts for a full day, allowing for a determined search effort. The blood used in this technique must not have been shed more than twenty+four hours prior to the use of the technique.

 Sakujo; Erasure Technique.
 Description:
-- The Taka is mainly a capture unit, designed to incapacitate opponents as opposed to outright killing them. However, the secondary duty of Takas is clean-up. When the situation arises where an opponent or target is disposed of, the primary concern is the body left behind. Privy to all sorts of subtle yet wholly vital information pertinent to the village which it belongs, the Taka is able perform field autopsy’s and remove all traces of this information with effectiveness exceeding that of even Kawazu. Even bloodlines or hidden implants are capable of being erased without a single soul knowing the better (except other trained Taka), though preservation is another matter. Along this same vein, the ANBU is capable of discerning even the most well-hidden implant, no matter how unlikely its station or application. Furthermore, scene clean-up is a duty of the Taka as well, sweeping areas and restoring them with in-depth chakra manipulation, leaving no trace of a squad’s passing or the damage caused prior.

 Chakra Tsuitou; Chakra Tracking Technique.
 Description:
-- With training and experience, ANBU Taka have developed the ability to make distinctions between people's chakra. In other words, it is almost second nature for them to instantly recognize and distinguish people by their chakra alone. Such an ability is not only invaluable in that it makes it nigh impossible for them to be fooled by regular transformation techniques, but it also helps them track fugitives more effectively. Assuming the ANBU has already encountered the target, he can concentrate and locate that person with disconcerting precision within a 2 miles radius. It has to be noted that Takas do not possess the passive ability to 'feel' chakra and thus need to focus constantly on a specific 'imprint' to be able to keep track of their target. They can still move while using this technique, but the combat application is rendered essentially worthless by the fact that any other action they might undertake breaks the 'link' between the hunter and the prey.

 Mawaramichi; Misdirection Technique.
 Description:
-- Having mastered the art of tracking and hunting, it isn't a surprise that Taka are also able to avoid leaving tracks of their own. In non-combat situations, it enables them to erase any single trace of their (and their allies) presence, making them very hard to tail. Also, to further complicate matters for pursuers, they can effectively use this technique to confuse trackers about their real location. Basically, Takas are able to transfer an imprint of their chakra into any object - whether animate or inanimate - and make it appear as if it were them accordingly. Its combat application, while limited, isn't to be underestimated as this sort of misdirection can even confuse those doujutsu users which rely on detecting chakra traces.

Kidou: Aohi Taihou; Demon Arts: Blue Flame Capture Technique.
 Description:
-- Akin to the many ‘prison’ jutsus, this one is instead a free-standing, flame version. Using chakra to build solid walls of blue flame (that provide only a mildly warm sensation as opposed to a searing one) around the target, there are some limitations to this technique. Takas may set up four walls on their own. Squad members are able to channel their chakra with the Taka, and therefore set up barriers of many different shapes and sizes (each member that lays a hand on the Taka to channel their chakra adds two more walls). As with all prison-type jutsu, the user(s) must remain still for this to work. However the added benefit is that the walls may be set up anywhere and their strength is that of the strongest kekkai jutsu, meaning that it can even be used as a means of protection in a pinch.

Notes:
-- Walls are solid and straight. They may not bend or curve in any way. Therefore the smallest type of prison that can be made is pyramid-shaped (three sides and a base).
-- Ninjutsus Stage 6 and above may destroy it from the inside as well, but the walls have the nasty effect of reverberating against the pressure and exploding inward when this is done. But, the victim may not be harmed by others on the outside.
-- More simply, when used as a defensive maneuver, the shield may be broken down by Ninjutsu Stage 6 and above. Similar to the capture method, when the jutsu is destroyed there is an outward explosion that forces things within a 1m radius of the shield’s perimeter to be sent flying backwards.

[ KAWAZU "FROG" DIVISION. ]

Shinjutsu no Kisochishiki; Fundamental Knowledge of Acupuncture.
 Description:
-- Basic training for Frogs. Along with this study comes a detailed knowledge of human anatomy, the circulatory system, and the many vital points located on the body. This also allows the Frog to perform field surgery on non-critical wounds with a good chance of success. As the name implies, this study teaches the ANBU to use senbon needles in acupuncture, with some limited use in combat. The needles can be placed in to redirect the blood toward or away from an area, can be placed to relieve or increase stress, relieve or cause a headache, and cause an area of the body to go numb.

Shinjutsu no Saimitsu; Detailed Knowledge of Acupuncture.
 Description:
-- Advanced training in the ANBU medical arts. This study includes with it detailed knowledge of the nervous system as well as advanced acupuncture techniques. The Frog can now perform field surgery on non-fatal wounds with a good chance of success. Senbon techniques are improved, the Frog can now slow the progress of a poison with the right application of needles, or speed it up, as well as slow the overall reaction and movements of an opponent. In regards to poison, slowing it doubles the number of posts that it takes to affect the character (if there is such a number) or reduces the effect of the poison. Speeding up the progress of poison causes it to take affect in half the time (if applicable) or increase the effect of the poison. Needles used to slow an opponent continue to have an effect until they are removed, and the slowing effect sticks around for one post afterwards.

Kidou: Taika; Demon Arts: Degeneration Technique.
 Description:
-- The natural healing processes of the human body are extraordinary in and of themselves. Normal injuries like cuts, abrasions, and even broken bones can be healed in due course with even minimal aid. However shinobi injuries far out-class normal injuries. This is why there are medical-nin on the field, usually sported in every squad to give a team the highest success rate possible. However the ANBU not only use this philosophy in their strategy, but know how to work around it. Kawazu are able to inhibit the healing powers of others through this technique, be it self-imposed or by the mercy of another. Using their own blood, the ANBU vaporizes it and guides it towards opponents with chakra, staying still all the while. Undetectable besides the scent of something unfamiliar, it takes only a single sniff for the technique to be successful. After a wound is made, the damage will steadily increase as time goes on, past even that which the stress of combat might do. A cut, after only a few minutes, might deepen and bleed more. A broken bone might compound further, breaking in multiple places even with lack of exertion. Furthermore, healing techniques will prove severely impaired or ineffective.

 Mizennifusegu; Preventative Measures Technique.
 Description:
-- "Prevention is better than cure." A famous saying among healers, yet extremely hard to stick to on the battlefield. ANBU Frogs are obviously aware of that. But even if it is impossible to completely avoid injuries, it is surely possible to drastically minimize their gravity by treating them instantaneously. Such is the principle behind this technique. After making handseals, the ANBU is able to infuse healing chakra into nearby allies. This chakra remains 'dormant' inside their bodies until they sustain an injury. When this happens, the wound is treated simultaneously as it is inflicted (with the degree of Chiyute no Jutsu) and in most cases, the negative effects are completely nullified, making it seem as if no damage was done at all.

 Honzougaku; Study of Medicinal Herbs.
 Description:
-- Training in the ANBU medical arts concerning herbal medicines and drugs. ANBU who take this study often keep a satchel onhand of premixed concoctions and separate components. When used in conjunction with field surgery, the ANBU can now keep an otherwise fatal wound from claiming a comrade, if he arrives soon enough. This, of course, does not apply to obviously lethal wounds (missing head, key organs, etc.) This study also allows the ANBU to create various herbal drugs and cures. The drugs that can be made are often placed in pill form, or powdered and placed in a small paper packet. The various drug effects include: a burst of adrenaline allowing for greater strength and speed, a focusing of the mind allowing for detailed thought and a calm mind in an otherwise hectic situation, a blood clotting agent that causes the blood to clot much faster and negates the risk of excessive bleeding. These drugs can only be used once a piece in a thread. Lastly, this knowledge allows the ANBU to create improvised cures to poison, by negating the symptoms with the proper herbs. This reduces the potency of the poison, but cutting its duration and effectiveness in half (lethal poisons, if treated before their duration is up, become incapacitating.)

Sen'yaku no Jutsu; Elixir of Life.
 Description:
-- An extremely powerful healing technique for use in the field as a sort of minor ressurrection. If the body is intact and has been dead for no longer than an hour, this technique may be attempted to return life (of a sort) to the body. First, a large amount of healing chakra courses through the body, knitting tissues back together and healing the lethal physical wounds of a body. Next, the inner coil system is charged with the same healing chakra, concentrated in the vital organs. The final organ to be charged is the heart, and this functions as a jumpstart for the body, a sort of hard reset. The chances of success depend on the power of the shinobi performing it and if the technique succeeds, the target is returned to life, albeit barely.

-- Both the user and the target of the technique are unable to function; the user is drained from the sheer amount of chakra used, and the target is still in critical condition and must be taken to a hospital, where other powerful healing techniques (Kakusei no Jutsu, Body Delving, Circle of Enlightenment) can be used to speed up the targets healing. If no such techniques are used, the target will naturally regain consciousness and health after two weeks of intensive care, and another two weeks of rehabilitation. When used on a target that is not yet dead, this technique places them in a sort of stasis so that they may be transported to the proper facilities without risk of dying en route.

[ KUNA "BEARS" DIVISION. ]

 Reiteki Enishi; Spiritual Link Technique.
 Description:
-- Specialists in protection, Kuna are often confronted to situations where they are required to sacrifice themselves and take hits for an intended target. However, it is not always possible for them to be physically quick enough to save others. This is where this technique becomes useful. Through a mere series of seals, Kuna can create some sort of invisible link between themselves and a desired target. While this link is active, any damage inflicted to the target is shared between him and the ANBU. The proportion of damage shared among linked people is entirely up to the ANBU; in other words, he can choose to take the totality of the damage if he so desires. The link can connect up to four people at any instant.

Note: Can only be used on allies in a 5 square radius.

 Unari; Roar Technique.
 Description:
-- By merely focusing his chakra and releasing it in the form of a deafening roar - made up of alternating frequency waves traveling directly to the brain - ANBU Kuna are able to make anyone in a wide radius (hearing distance) instantly snap out of the confusing effects of Genjutsu, nullifying the effects of the illusions. However, for him to be able to utter this roar, the Bear mustn't be caught in the illusion himself in the first place, due to the precise tuning required to create those special waves. It can also be used once a thread lest it would cause irreversible permanent damage to anyone hearing it more than once.

Note: It affects allies and foes alike, so enemies under an illusion will also be freed of it if they hear the roar.

 Gosata Unari; Imperial Roar Technique.
 Description:
-- Like in Roar, a Kuna is able to create high frequency impulses. In this instance, however, such a frequency is destructive when used in combination with focused chakra. The main use here, though, if not the most effective use, is to destroy and otherwise inhibit defensive jutsu. By their nature, defensive jutsu are meant to absorb attacks and sometimes even reflect them. A nuisance that is bypassed by the ANBU, Gosata Unari completely shatters such defenses and makes them less effective when used again.

Notes: It affects only defensive jutsu, and has no bearing on Offensive Jutsu.

Jishinha no Jutsu; Seismic Wave Technique.
 Description:
-- A devastating technique, the only specific technique to this somewhat overshadowed division, it makes use of both the ANBU no Bujutsu and the natural build of most Bears. Channeling chakra into their arms and hands, a preparation which takes little to no time for a Jounin of this level, hand seals are made to concentrate the chakra further, hardening the appendages to be used. Then, slamming their palms onto the ground, a large wall of dirt and earth erupt from the epicenter and travel around the user in what looks to be waves or miniature explosions that are about 5-10 meters high. These waves travel for about a radius of another 25 meters and serves to both destroy/alter terrain, make it extremely hard for an opponent to move, and can potentially flatten them as well if they are caught between two waves.
